CITE Workshops: Northeast New Jersey 2-hour educational offerings for Child Care Directors, their Staff and Family Child Care Providers. $10 fee per person. Fee waived for current CITE members. Fall 2007: Creating a Win-Win Situation When parent provider relationship is working at its best, there are many opportunities to add to the overall development of infants and toddlers. This workshop will focus on how to build and sustain this connection and what to do when there may be some obstacles along the way.
Winter 2008: Swing and Sway with Your Little Ones Let's learn songs, music and movement activities for infants and toddlers in this fun interactive workshop. Also see these are natural connections and how they can easily be used to foster social interaction and emotional, physical and cognitive development.
Spring 2008: Look What You Can See! This workshop will use brief video clips of infants and toddlers in a child care setting to stimulate discussion. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how careful and focused observations can aid them in their practice.
Summer 2008: How Can I Carefully Observe & Record What Is Happening in My Classroom? Gain a basic understanding of what ITERS (Infant Toddler Environmental Rating System) is and its value. Participants will become familiar with the process of how this assessment can become a learning tool to measure quality in a classroom.
