"If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder without any such gift from the fairies, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in."

Campaign New Jersey — Better Baby Care

The Better Baby Care Campaign is a nationwide effort to improve the quality of care for children under age three. The campaign seeks to work in collaboration with existing national, state and local organizations to bring attention to the issues and to improve the policies that govern the quality of care, and parent education, family support, paid family leave and related policies. (From www.BetterBabyCare.org)

In 2002, CITE brought the Better Baby Care Campaign to New Jersey at the annual conference. Working in collaboration with many statewide organizations (see attached report for list) and receiving major funding from The Schumann Fund for New Jersey and Johnson and Johnson, Campaign New Jersey-Better Baby Care began it's work.

The attached report (see link below) was presented to the New Jersey Child Care Advisory Council at their annual meeting October 20, 2004. It is a two-year summary of the work of Campaign New Jersey-Better Baby Care.

The work of the Campaign continues. Please check back to this page frequently for updates.
